Terms & Legal Disclaimer

1. Nature of the Product

All certificates, maps, parcel schedules and related documents offered by Lunar Novelty Claims are sold exclusively as novelty souvenirs for entertainment, collection and gifting purposes. They are not legal instruments and do not create, transfer or recognise any form of property right.

2. No Legal Ownership of the Moon

The Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies (the “Outer Space Treaty” of 1967) provides in Article II that:

“Outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, is not subject to national appropriation by claim of sovereignty, by means of use or occupation, or by any other means.”

Consequently, neither states nor private individuals can acquire legal title to lunar land. No certificate issued by Lunar Novelty Claims has any legal effect under international law or the domestic law of any country.

3. No Official Authority

Lunar Novelty Claims is a private entertainment project. It is not a government body, registry, or internationally recognised authority. It has no power to grant or record real property rights on the Moon or any other celestial body.

4. Customer Acknowledgement

By placing an order you expressly acknowledge and agree that:

• You are purchasing a novelty item only;
• The certificate confers no ownership, lease, licence or exclusive rights of any kind;
• You will not present the certificate to any person or authority as evidence of real ownership;
• You have read and understood this disclaimer in full.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lunar Novelty Claims and its operators accept no liability arising from any reliance placed on these novelty certificates or from any misunderstanding of their nature. The product is sold “as is” for entertainment purposes.

6. Orders, Payment & Delivery

After submitting the order form you will receive payment instructions by email. Certificates are prepared and delivered digitally (PDF) only after payment is confirmed. Delivery is typically within 1–2 business days. All sales of digital novelty certificates are final once the PDF has been issued.
